This delicate Frantoio from Uruguay displays green, grassy, herbaceous notes mingled with a slight savory herb. This is a very approachable extra virgin oil with very little bitterness and pungency. This olive was originally concentrated in the northwestern region of Uruguay in the 60’s. It then slowly spread to the rest of the country with overwhelming speed in the last decade. The region of Maldonado surpassed all expectations, and this oil is a great example from oils of that region.
