Homemade Granola

Homemade Granola

You won’t ever go back to the store-bought version of granola after trying this homemade granola recipe. It is just so delicious and easy!

Our recipe is also a healthier alternative to supermarket bought granolas, which can often be filled with artificial flavors, sweeteners and unhealthy oils. Our Spanish Picual Extra Virgin Olive Oil used here is packed with antioxidants and polyphenols.

This recipe is so easy that all you need is one bowl. The best part is you can make a batch and store your granola in a sealed container for your next yogurt parfait, breakfast oatmeal or whatever else you pair it with!

Ingredients:

1/4 cup The Blue Olive Spanish Picual Extra Virgin Olive Oil

2 cups rolled oats

1/4 cup pepitas

1/4 cup slivered almonds

1/4 cup chopped pecans

2 tablespoons sesame seeds

1/2 teaspoon The Blue Olive sea salt

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 cup Crown Maple Bourbon, Amber, Coffee, or Vanilla Maple Syrup(sold in store)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400°F. In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients together (oats, pepitas, almonds, pecans, sesame seeds, salt, cinnamon, olive oil, maple syrup, and vanilla), stir until blended.

Spread granola mix evenly on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crisp (stirring once or twice).

Remove from the oven and let cool.

Enjoy or store for later.
